Step-by-step

1: Shut down Radio.

Radio must be shut down before installing the activeRenderer tool. If you do not shut down you will probably need to restart Radio before activeRenderer becomes active.

2: Download.

Save the activeRenderer.root file in Radio's Tools folder. Here are examples of where the Tools folder might be located on your system.

Windows
c:\program files\radio userland\tools
Macintosh
Macintosh HD:Applications:Radio UserLand:Tools

3: Start Radio.

Once you have restarted Radio you should see activeRenderer in the tools section of the status centre (usually the middle of the right hand side) on the desktop website.

4: Register.

Registration is free and shouldn't take more than 3 minutes.

If your copy isn't registered yet, the registration page automatically opens in the background when you launch Radio.

5: Update.

Once you've registered, you're able to make sure that you are currently using the lastest available version of activeRenderer.

To update, either click the update link in the activeRenderer part of the tools section in the desktop home page, or select the Tools / activeRenderer / Update... menu directly in the Radio application.

You may also check the 'Update activeRenderer automatically' box in activeRenderer's preferences page.
